Walk@Work is the result of three I+D Research Grants funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (Walk@WorkSpain; DEP 2009-1147) and the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness (Walk@Work-App; DEP 2012-37169) and, the Institute of Health Carlos III (Walk@WorkApp-Diab; PI17/01788). It started in 2009 as an international collaborative initiative promoted by the Leeds Metropolitan University (UK) and the University of Queensland (Australia). Since then, the Research Group on Sport and Physical Activity (GREAF) of the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia has led the development of this new program adapted to the Spanish context.
